Suggestions for improving tonal quality in violin

No I don't think carnatic music to be inferior... Its just that I'm trained in carnatic style of playing violin

I thank everyone for the tips... I changed my violin to cgcg and immediately noticed that the 4th string got a bit softer and the same frequency notes in 2 different strings have started sounding similar especially with respect to the timbre .. It was immensely helpful. I feel stupid I didn't think about it... I've already got accustomed to cgcg now..
