Chords of a song - how to identify?

instead of holding, c-g-c you can simply hold c - c (remember that second c is from higher octave) to identify the key. next is c#-c# and D-D and so on... it take s a while, but if you practice it then its a piece of cake. For beginners adding middle G might introduce confusion.
